I would like to attend this University because I do not want to stay in my same community when I go to college I would like to head to a totally new environment.

Thoughts On NCSA

Thoughts NCSA

(National Collegiate Scouting Association)

Recently I have signed up for a recruiting app. So far it has made me feel more confident about playing in softball in college. It has given me a push to actually try and play in college. Before I thought it was only a dream and now I actually think it may come true. They have helped me complete an online profile. This online profile is for college scouts to be able to look at me and all the things I would be able to offer to their team and University. I believe NCSA is actually going to be able to help me choose a good college.

"The Six Attitudes of High Achievers"

"The Six Attitudes of High Achievers"

John R. Noe
1. Make NO Small Plans
To make No Small Plans means to always make good, big plans. Do not settle for the easiest way. If you have more options to make something better then take the opportunity. Something you take your time on will always be better than when you rush. To me making a small plan means that I am doing something last minute and that I am just going to get it done and not put extra effort into it as I would if I had a big plan and actually take the time to do it correctly.

2. Do what they fear:
It means to be brave. Do not be afraid of what others think about you. Do things that make you different from others. Be outgoing. People sometimes don't do things out of fear and if you are one of those people who actually overcome what they fear then you are somewhat better than others.

3. Are Willing To Prepare: Willing to prepare means that you want to be ready for what is coming to you. Don't make yourself look like a fool if you already knew it was going to happen, you should always be prepared for what's coming if you are not then at least know the consequences. You have given yourself a certain target in which you would prepare for.

4. Are Willing To Risk Failure: To be willing to risk failure means that you know when you have messed up and are willing to suffer the consequences. Everybody at some point in their life will either be at risk of failure or actually fail. People just have to know that it is a part of life. The quote"In order to succeed you must fail, so that you know what not to do the next time", this quote explains what I think being able to risk failure means. There has been many points in my life where I have been at risk of failure but I have taken full responsibility for my actions and I know that at that point I messed up. Failure teaches a lesson in whatever situation you are in.

5. Are Teachable: To be teachable means to be able to learn from others. Lots of colleges especially if you plan to be in a sport in college, coaches want people who would be teachable. They want people who would not only have skills already but as well be able to learn more and get better. Teachers like kids who are teachable because that means you actually try in class and you work hard to be able to learn the material.

6. Have a Heart: To have a heart means to care about others. Kind people do good, most of time if you do good you will be rewarded. High achievers help others and do good. Having a good heart means people trust you. You as a person worry about other feelings, and well being and like to be there for people when they need it the most. Although having a good heart is good to have sometimes it can be bad, you start to worry about others well beings more you about yourselves and that is not good. Before you attend to people who need help make sure you are in a good place or else the good you are doing will not feel good, it will feel like a chore.
Reflection:
The six attitudes of high achievers show people some of the characteristics of people who achieve good in life. The six characteristics are Make no small plans, Do what they fear, Willing to prepare, Willing to risk failure, you are teachable, and to have a good heart. All these characteristics, some people use them to be successful. I plan to use some of these in my life in order to help me reach some of my goals.
